I accepted Jesus Christ as my Saviour quite late in life. I was 33, and it was just before my daughter was baptized. Ten years later, my husband died of cancer, and I was left to bring up my son who was 12, and my daughter who was 9. God spoke to me, and assured me that He would be like a husband to me, and a Father to them.

Shortly after that, I felt God calling me into the ordained ministry. I ran away from Him for a while, until I finally submitted to His will. I was ordained 2 years later, after studying Theology through correspondence, while having a full time teaching job.

Although I have now retired from teaching, I have a busy pastoral ministry . I do weddings, funerals and baptisms, and I minister to the dying and bereaved. I have learned to obey that ” still small voice”, and to phone or visit someone when God speaks to me. I have such a love for His people, and feel so privileged to serve Him. The Holy Spirit is my Counsellor and my guide, and I know the truth of Philippians 4:13: ” I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.”

Praise be to our gracious God – Father, Son and Holy Spirit.
